The updated MacBook Air, powered by the recently released M2 chip, was unveiled by Apple at its annual World Wide Developers Conference. MagSafe charging, a brand-new design, and excellent battery life are all included. The 13-inch MacBook Pro also had the opportunity to experience the M2 chip.
The new MacBook Air has a flatter design, looks far sleeker at a thickness of 11mm, and weighs 2.7 pounds (1.22kg). The laptop remains fanless and comes with a notched 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and 1 billion colours. Plus, the web camera has been updated to 1080p.
With the addition of a more significant function key row and compatibility for MagSafe charging, the MacBook Air now has Magic Keyboard. A 3.5mm combination audio connector and two USB-C ports are also provided.
A video can be played again for up to 18 hours on a single charge. Incorporated into the new MacBook Airframe is a freshly created quad-speaker system, which should significantly improve over the previous design.
The M2 MacBook Air will be sold with a matching MagSafe charging cable and offered in space grey, silver, midnight blue, and starry gold. The 67W USB-C adapter is updated to accommodate Fast Charging.
It will be offered to begin in July for $1,199, and configurations with up to 2TB of SSD storage and 24GB of memory are available. The M1 MacBook Air will continue to be offered to start at $999.
